Helping Island.Jobs launch a new brand and build momentum across the Islands.

When we first started working with the team behind Island Jobs, they were at an exciting point in their journey.

The business had already established itself on the Isle of Man as JobSearch.im, helping connect local employers with talented candidates, but the founders had much bigger ambitions.

They were preparing to evolve the platform into Island.Jobs – a new brand designed to support expansion beyond the Isle of Man into Jersey, Guernsey and Gibraltar, creating a recruitment platform built specifically for island communities.

Alongside developing a brand-new platform and preparing for launch, the founders were juggling the many demands that come with scaling a tech business.

They needed a marketing partner who could take work off their plates while helping the business continue to grow. That's where we knew we could help.

Starting with strategy

As with every client we work with, we started by taking a step back.

Before creating content, we carried out a full review of the existing marketing activity, looking at the brand, messaging, digital channels and customer journey to understand what was working, where there were opportunities to strengthen the business and how marketing could support the next stage of growth.

From there, we developed a clear marketing strategy to support the transition from JobSearch.im to Island Jobs, ensuring every piece of communication aligned with the ambitions of the business.

This wasn't simply about changing a name or refreshing a logo. It was about repositioning an established business for future growth, introducing a new identity while maintaining the trust already built with candidates and employers, and creating a brand capable of supporting multiple island jurisdictions.

Every decision needed to reassure existing users while generating excitement for what was to come.

Bringing a new brand to life

Launching Island Jobs was about much more than announcing a new name. It was about introducing a fresh proposition to employers and job seekers while maintaining the trust the founders had already built.

Working closely with Dan and Guy, we became an extension of the team, providing support across strategic communications, PR, content creation, launch planning and day-to-day marketing activity.

We took the lead on social media management across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, creating consistent content that explained the story behind the rebrand, showcased the platform's growing opportunities and celebrated key milestones along the way.

Alongside social media, we produced SEO-optimised blogs, regular newsletters for their growing database and organised dedicated content days to capture photography and video that brought both the founders and the new brand to life. We knew founder-led content would be crucial, because people don't just buy into technology, they buy into the people behind it.

Managing change with confidence

Launching a new platform across multiple jurisdictions meant communication had to be carefully planned.

Throughout the transition to Island Jobs, we supported the founders with strategic communications, ensuring existing candidates and employers understood what was changing, why it was happening and, most importantly, what it meant for them.

At the same time, we helped introduce the new brand to entirely new audiences across Jersey, Guernsey and Gibraltar, creating the foundations for future growth beyond the Isle of Man.

Alongside customer communications, we secured local media coverage, supported the official launch event in Douglas and created content that kept the growing community informed throughout every stage of the journey.

Rather than feeling like a sudden change, the launch became a natural evolution of both the brand and the business.

Building visibility and engagement

As the new brand gained momentum, so did its online presence.

From December 2025 onwards, Island Jobs published 157 pieces of content across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, generating:

  • Over 280,000 content views

  • More than 2,300 engagements

  • A combined audience of over 2,500 followers

One of the biggest successes came on LinkedIn, where the newly branded page quickly attracted more than 1,400 followers, helping establish credibility with employers, business leaders and professionals across the Islands.

But the numbers only tell part of the story.

Many of the highest-performing posts generated hundreds of clicks through to live vacancies and the platform itself, demonstrating genuine intent from the audience rather than passive scrolling.

The marketing wasn't simply creating awareness, it was helping connect employers with candidates and encouraging more people to engage with the platform.

Why this approach worked

Island Jobs is a technology business, but recruitment has always been about people.

That became the thread running through everything we created.

By combining strategic communications with founder-led content, SEO, PR, social media management and email marketing, we helped the business launch a new brand without losing the trust it had already earned.

Rather than treating marketing as a series of disconnected campaigns, we built an ongoing content system that supported the client and candidate journey.

From discovering the platform for the first time, to reading industry insights, signing up for job alerts or advertising their next vacancy.

The bigger picture

From strategic planning and brand communications to content creation, media relations, social media management and launch support, we became an extension of the Island Jobs team during one of the most exciting periods in the company's growth.

Together, we helped introduce a new brand to the market, support customers through the transition, build awareness across multiple channels and create the foundations for the next stage of growth.

Today, Island Jobs is no longer just an Isle of Man recruitment platform.

It's a growing island-focused recruitment brand with ambitions that reach far beyond its original home.

We're incredibly proud to have supported Dan and Guy through such a pivotal stage of that journey and can't wait to see where the next chapter takes them.
