Rehablab

How we helped RehabLab grow their digital presence, launch a new website and build the confidence to bring marketing back in-house

When RehabLab first approached us, the brief was simple.

Their owner was heading off on maternity leave and, like many business owners, she wore a lot of hats. Alongside leading the business, she was also responsible for the marketing, social media and content creation.

They needed someone to step in and keep things moving while she focused on her growing family.

What began as a short-term maternity cover project quickly grew into an 18-month partnership, built on collaboration, trust and a shared ambition to strengthen RehabLab's digital presence.

Our role wasn't simply to fill a gap but to become an extension of the team.

Starting with strategy, not social media

As with every client we work with, we didn't jump straight into creating content, we started by taking a step back.

Through a full marketing audit, we reviewed RehabLab's digital presence, looking at everything from their website and messaging to their social media channels and brand consistency.

The audit highlighted opportunities to strengthen their social media presence, so before creating new content, we gave their channels a polish.

We refreshed the look and feel, introduced a more consistent visual style and created branded templates for educational and informational posts that reinforced the RehabLab brand while giving the team tools they could continue using long after our work together.

From there, we developed a clear marketing strategy and content plan to support the launch of their new website, strengthen their online presence and encourage more people to discover RehabLab and book appointments online.

Because social media should never exist in isolation. When it's aligned with your website, your brand and your wider business goals, that's when it starts to deliver real results.

Working as an extension of the team

Rather than simply taking marketing off the team's hands, we saw an opportunity to build confidence across the whole business.

One of our key objectives was to help the owner delegate marketing responsibilities to others within the practice. After all, the people delivering the care are often the best people to tell the story.

Working alongside the team, we encouraged different team members to contribute ideas, appear in content, share their expertise and become more involved in promoting the business.

Over the next 18 months, we supported RehabLab with social media management across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, content creation, and the successful launch of their new website, while gradually helping the team develop the skills and confidence to take more ownership themselves.

Healthcare is built on trust and relationships, so instead of creating overly polished marketing, we focused on showcasing the people behind the business.

Team stories, patient education, behind-the-scenes moments, celebrations and expert advice all helped build familiarity with existing and future patients.

The result was marketing that felt authentic because it genuinely came from the people delivering the care.

Turning visibility into bookings

The real success of this project wasn't measured by social media alone, but by how digital marketing supported the wider business.

Alongside the successful launch of their new website, the last six months saw:

  • Website visitors increase by 18%

  • Online bookings increase by 34%

  • Organic search traffic grow by 24%

  • Organic social traffic increase by 51%

All achieved organically, without paid social advertising or paid SEO activity.

Those numbers tell an important story.

More people were discovering RehabLab through search, finding them on social media, visiting the website and, most importantly, booking appointments.

That's exactly what good digital marketing should do.

Building an engaged online community

Alongside website growth, RehabLab's social channels became a far more consistent and valuable part of the business.

Over the last 12 months, we published more than 700 pieces of content, generating over 232,000 content views and more than 3,200 engagements across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. The audience also continued to grow, reaching over 2,500 followers across the three platforms.

But perhaps the most interesting insight came from the content itself. The highest-performing posts weren't promotional offers or sales messages, they were people-focused stories.

Celebrating team milestones, welcoming new arrivals, sharing behind-the-scenes moments and highlighting the personalities behind the business consistently generated the strongest engagement.

It reinforced something we've always believed, that people connect with people before they connect with businesses.

Why this approach worked

The success of this partnership came down to collaboration, RehabLab trusted the process.

They were open to trying new ideas, invested time in creating authentic content and embraced the idea that marketing didn't have to sit with one person.

Instead, it became something the whole team contributed to.

Rather than creating marketing that looked polished for the sake of it, we focused on creating content that felt genuine, helpful and human.

The result was stronger visibility, increased website traffic, more online bookings and a team that became increasingly confident in managing their own digital marketing.

The bigger picture

One of the things we're most proud of about this project isn't a statistic, it's what happened next.

After 18 months working together, the RehabLab team now feel confident taking their day-to-day marketing back in-house.

Not because we've stepped away, but because we've helped build the knowledge, processes and confidence to do it themselves.

We'll continue supporting them on an ad-hoc basis with training, strategic advice and specialist marketing support whenever they need us, but they now have a team that's invested in their brand and understands the role marketing plays in growing the business.

For us, that's what a successful partnership looks like, not creating dependency but creating capability and confidence.
