Noventre

Bringing the Noventre brand to life

‍When Noventre came to Great Minds Marketing, the business had recently entered an exciting new chapter.

‍A new name and brand had been launched, bringing its services together under the Noventre identity. The next step was to build on that foundation: helping people understand the business behind the brand, its long history on the Island and what made Noventre different.

‍There was a great story to tell.

‍Noventre is a Manx-owned technology and telecommunications business, with deep roots in the Isle of Man and a team supporting both local homes and businesses.

But it also served two very different audiences.

‍Noventre Home provides broadband and telecommunications services directly to Island residents, while its business services help organisations with connectivity, Microsoft 365, managed IT, cybersecurity, digital transformation and voice services for business.

Both sat under the Noventre brand, but the people they needed to reach – and the conversations they needed to have with them – were very different.

Our job was to help bring that story to life.

Working alongside Noventre's management team and local design agency Studio Cooper, we helped evolve the brand, clarify its messaging and create a marketing approach that could support both sides of the business.

More than two years later, that initial project has developed into an ongoing partnership, with Great Minds Marketing now working as an extension of the Noventre team across strategy, campaigns, content, customer communications and day-to-day marketing delivery.

Starting with strategy

As with every client we work with, we started by taking a step back.

We carried out a full audit of Noventre's existing marketing activity, looking at the brand, messaging, digital channels, content and customer journeys to understand where we could build on what was already there.

One of the biggest opportunities was creating a clearer distinction between the two sides of the business.

The residential customer looking for reliable home broadband has very different needs from a business owner looking for cybersecurity support, Microsoft 365 or a fully managed IT service.

The marketing needed to reflect that.

Working closely with the management team, we developed a strategy and tone of voice for each audience, giving us a clear framework for creating content on Noventre's behalf.

For Noventre Home, communications needed to be simple, friendly and useful. Broadband shouldn't require a degree in telecoms to understand.

For business audiences, we needed to demonstrate Noventre's expertise while making sometimes complicated technology topics accessible to busy business owners and decision-makers.

That foundation has continued to shape Noventre's marketing ever since.

Giving the brand a refresh

Alongside the strategy work, we worked with local design agency Studio Cooper to evolve the recently launched brand.

Rather than starting again, we gave it a refresh – developing a stronger visual identity and creating a clearer distinction between Noventre Home and Noventre's business services while ensuring both still felt part of the same overall brand.

We then brought the refreshed look and messaging together through a new campaign designed to reintroduce Noventre and tell more of the story behind the business.

From there, the new approach was rolled out across campaigns, social media, digital content, customer communications and marketing materials, giving the brand greater consistency and personality.

Making technology more human

Telecoms, IT and cybersecurity aren't always the easiest subjects to turn into engaging marketing content.

So we focused on the thing behind all of them: people.

Instead of simply talking about products and technical specifications, we started showing what the technology actually enabled.

We filmed customer case studies and testimonials with local businesses, allowing Noventre's clients to tell their experiences in their own words.

We created SEO-optimised articles answering the questions businesses and consumers were actually searching for.

We developed educational content around Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, managed IT, AI and digital transformation, alongside more human stories about the Noventre team and its role within the Island community.

And rather than creating content simply for the sake of keeping social media busy, we developed campaigns around Noventre's wider commercial priorities.

The result was marketing that made technology easier to understand while giving people a much better sense of the local team and expertise behind the Noventre name.

Building visibility and engagement

As the strategy became established, Noventre's digital presence continued to grow.

Over the last 12 months alone, Noventre's social media channels generated more than 2.2 million views, with the combined audience growing to over 8,100 followers. More than 320 pieces of content generated approximately 4,700 engagements.

But, as with all of our client work, reach isn't the only number we're interested in.

Some of Noventre Home's strongest-performing content has generated hundreds of direct clicks. A customer case study featuring Robinson's Fresh Foods, for example, generated more than 116,000 views and 918 clicks, showing how useful, locally relevant content can turn attention into genuine interest.

For the business audience, LinkedIn has become an important channel for building awareness and demonstrating Noventre's expertise. Over the same reporting period, the channel generated more than 3,000 engagements, including almost 1,900 clicks.

It's a good example of why the two sides of the business need different approaches while still feeling unmistakably part of the same Noventre brand.

Supporting the whole customer journey

Our work with Noventre goes far beyond social media.

As the relationship developed, we increasingly became an extension of the team, supporting marketing and communications wherever the business needed us.

We introduced an email marketing system to give Noventre a more effective way to communicate directly with customers and have since used it to support important customer campaigns, including communications around the Island's copper switch-off.

That campaign required much more than a few emails.

Different customers needed different information depending on where they were in the process, including what was changing, what action they needed to take and the support available to them.

We've also supported Noventre during critical service updates, when important information has needed to reach customers quickly and clearly.

In those moments, good marketing isn't about being clever.

It's about getting the right message to the right people, quickly, clearly and consistently.

Becoming an extension of the team

Today, we work closely with the management team across the full marketing function, providing support with strategy and planning, campaign development, social media management, content creation and capture, customer case studies, SEO and website content, email marketing, customer communications, PR, crisis communications, creative support and ongoing reporting.

It gives Noventre access to a broad range of marketing expertise without needing to build every specialism internally.

And because we've worked alongside the business for more than two years, we understand the brand, its customers, its commercial priorities and, importantly, how to communicate differently to its residential and business audiences.

We're outsourced, but very much part of the team.

The bigger picture

More than two years on, Noventre's marketing has evolved considerably from those early conversations about how to bring the new brand to life.

What started as a project to build on Noventre's new brand has developed into a long-term marketing partnership.

Together, we've helped tell the story of a local, Manx-owned business using technology to keep Island homes and businesses connected and moving forward.

We've created clearer identities for its residential and business audiences, developed a consistent tone of voice, introduced new marketing channels, shared the experiences of real customers and delivered campaigns around some of the biggest changes affecting Noventre and its customers.

More than two years later, we're still working alongside the team, helping turn business priorities into marketing activity and making sure the right messages reach the right people.

Because sometimes you don't need another agency sitting on the outside waiting for a brief.

You need people who understand your business, know what you're trying to achieve and can get on with making the marketing happen.
